Kristen Volpone is a Heart driven healer & speaker of Heart wisdom. When she was 6 years old her mother passed from Breast Cancer, and her father (a Vietnam vet) struggled with PTSD. Since childhood she has explored tides of emotion that come with life, death, illness, and human experience. This has been her greatest teacher and inspires her to acknowledge, embrace, and share the power of love.
Kristen explores the energetic tapestry of the human body and offerings of the heart's gifts through Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, and Intentional Practice. Yin Yoga is one the main focus's of Kristen's work. Her intention is to bring the healing of the Yin practice to different communities and wellness centers. Kristen is trauma sensitive and works with all bodies and ages. She works privately with the heavy hearted and those who are dealing with Loss and Grief.
Kristen teaches Yoga in Manhattan and Brooklyn. She is an assistant teacher to Biff Mithoefer, author of the Yin Yoga Kit at his Yin Yoga Training's. She has assisted over 20 retreats, training's, and workshops in the past 4 years.
Through Wandering Roots she hopes to support, encourage, and empower those in her communities through their mindfully curated events, which will expand well-being and harmony in the world.
Kat ( Zack ) Brady
Community Organizer, Reiki Master, Teacher, Artist, Musician
Kat Brady has a deep love for the gift of life and a deep desire to see the beauty in everyone. They understand that healing comes from within but can be guided and aided by movement, energy work, natural medicines, and other therapeutic practices. They currently live in Portland, Oregon where they are pursuing doctoral studies in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
They're hope is to spread the knowledge of various healing practices to all who are in need.
They have been a community organizer since their teenage years when they were called to rally their peers in protest against the Iraq war. This activist spirit followed Kat into college and into such movements as Food Not Bombs, environmentalism, and Occupy. Simultaneously they have had a love of bringing people together with art and music organizing events of a wide variety of sizes.
Professionally they currently act as CTO/Partner of the digital agency Suits & Sandals, LLC. In a previous portion of their life they had the opportunity to show augmented reality-based artwork at several prestigious museums, including the Whitney in New York, and to create fantastical music with dear friends.
